Privacy Policy
susanjohnson.org is the author site of Susan Johnson, Flagstaff, Arizona. It has no accounts, no newsletter, and no store. The only information it handles is the analytics described below and whatever you choose to send through the contact form.
Analytics and cookies
This site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use it: the pages you visit, how you arrived (a search engine, a link, or a direct visit), your device and browser type, an approximate location derived from your IP address, and interactions such as clicking a retailer link to buy a book or opening the contact page. Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (named _ga and _ga_ followed by an ID) that hold a random visitor identifier. They do not store your name, email address, or payment details, and analytics data is not used for personalized advertising.
The four Susan Johnson sites (susanjohnson.org, hauntedflagstaffbook.com, walkupfamilymurders.com, and wickedflagstaff.com) share one analytics identifier, so a visit that moves between them is counted as one visit rather than several. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on or by blocking cookies in your browser settings; the site works the same either way.
The contact form
The contact page asks for a name, an email address, a reason, and a message. Submitting the form sends that information by email to the Freaky Foot Tours support inbox so a person can reply to you. It is used only to answer your message, it is not added to any mailing list, and this site does not keep a copy of it. Nothing is collected until you press send.
Outbound links
Outbound links lead to retailers and other third parties, including Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Arcadia Publishing and The History Press, Bright Side Bookshop, the Arizona Daily Sun, and Freaky Foot Tours. Once you leave this site, those parties’ own policies apply. Some Amazon links are affiliate links, which means the retailer may pay this site a commission on qualifying purchases; that happens on the retailer’s side.
